After a decade working purely in the technical field of IT, Ashley has focused on business process improvement. While working for the world's largest global express company, he was involved in the early implementation of the (now) universal best practices of IT service management (ITIL) v2 and v3, specifically in the network operations arena, and quality methodologies based on CMMI and PRINCE2 in the areas of PMO and software development projects.

Ashley created a company-wide suites of processes – with associated policies, procedures, guidelines and templates – using these best practices and quality paradigms at the partner organization Network Insight, a leading infrastructure consulting and application services provider. These new processes have driven efficiencies and structure into managed services operations, product and project management, application development, sales, marketing, procurement and solutions development

Ashley has led large middleware deployments in Europe and Asia for one of the world's largest shipping and logistics organization, and a fault management optimization project for the country's largest mobile phone company in partnership with Network Insight.

Other engagements include enterprise software development, monitoring tool evaluations, tools configuration and implementations, tool Data Center migration, CRM tool configuration and implementation, NOC operational process design and implementations, SAS70 preparation and documentation, change management design and implementation, website design and implementation, network/web monitoring design and implementation, automated web-based reporting development, and many requirements documents, RFIs and RFPs.

Ashley has current industry certifications in PRINCE2 Practitioner Level (advanced project management), ITIL Practitioner Level (specifically in release and control), Six Sigma (Green Belt) and American Society for Quality (ASQ) Certified Quality Auditor (CQA). He holds a BSc from the University of Hull and an MSc from the University of Leicester, in England.
